Shine Cubs cricket development squad provides an exciting opportunity for children of all abilities aged Years 1 and 2 to develop their cricket skills and knowledge in a supportive and inclusive environment with qualified experienced coaches.
Please note that the squad places are limited.

Your fee covers all sessions in Term 2 from Friday 8th January - Friday 12th February 2021.

We will always run within the COVID-19 guidelines and with this in mind, I'm afraid no parent are allowed in the sports hall during the activity. There are way way sign in/out systems in place which are signposted on arrival with additional cleaning and hand sanitising stations for the children to sanitise their hands when required.

Essential kit:
  • Footwear and clothing that are appropriate for the chosen activity. 
  • Traditional cricket 'whites' (recommended, but not essential) 
  • Water bottle
  • Children are welcome to bring their own cricket equipment but please ensure you remember to take it with you at the end of the session!

  • Please note that places are limited and bookings are made on a first come/first served basis each term.
  • Shine’s professional coaching team are qualified, DBS checked and fully insured.
  • This activity is available to children from any school, providing they are of the correct age group.
  • Please note we do not offer refunds for missed sessions in our Development Squads.
Additional Details

Shine Cubs winter cricket season runs from from September  - April booking termly, with sessions taking place on Friday evenings at Shine Community Sports Hall, Brecon Road, Henleaze, BS9 4DT.  We then run into the Summer Cricket Development Squads.

The coaching programme will involve a combination of match situations, skills drills and cricket themed exercises with an emphasis on healthy fun. The sessions for Shine Cubs will involve the use of soft ball.
