Now is a perfect time for children to be excited by Cricket....

With the Women’s Cricket World Cup, the England ODI team moving up the world rankings, the T20 blast in Gloucester and Somerset and the start of the exciting Ashes Down Under as England defend the Urn, there has never been a better time to get involved in the UK's most popular summer sport.

Shine’s Cricket Academy has seen children pick up a bat for the very 1st time and develop into county and club cricketers in various age groups across the region.

This Summer, Shine Cricket Academy is running every week at Golden Hill, BS6 on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 25th July.  These action packed sessions will teach younger players the basics of soft ball through batting, bowling and fielding using a learning through enjoyment philosophy with a tennis or wind ball.  The children will develop through fast paced drills and conditioned games in a safe and supportive environment. The more experienced cricketers will be practising with a hard cricket ball and emulating many of the training techniques that professional cricket players use. Net sessions, bowling machines and video analysis will all help the children improve as well as taking part in T20 and test matches to get used to different game based situations.

Come and have a brilliant summer with our experienced and highly qualified level 2 coaches. We catch up on the highlights of the summers cricket and hopefully we will see a few of our own faces on the screen in years to come!  For information about playing cricket this Summer, visit www.shinesportscoaching.com.
