Join the Shine Hockey Development Squad led by Coach Beth, who plays International Hockey for Wales!
Based at the Shine Sport Ground, BS6, the focus for children in Year 5&6 will be on participation. Lots of touches and game time as well as skills and drills to develop in hockey and interpersonal skills associated with playing team sport such as teamwork, communication, friendship.
We can provide a hockey stick for the session if you don't have one but you will require a gum shield and shin pads to play. We already have a hockey festival in the planning for children to simply get involved and play hockey, this is a very exciting new development squad.
- Hockey stick (essential - we can offer you one to use for the session if you don't have one)
- Astro trainers (essential)
- Mouth guard (essential)
- Shin pads (essential)
- Hockey glove (recommended)
- Water bottle (Available in the Shine Shop)
Shine welcomes boys & girls of all abilities to this enjoyable and inclusive activity. Children will learn how to play and work as a team, as well as the skills and techniques of hockey.
- Please note our cancellation and amendment policy requires 6 days notice to receive a credit or refund.
- You cannot play without a gum shield and shin pads.
- Shine’s staff are DBS checked, first aid trained and fully insured.
- Your child/children must be signed out at the end of every session.
